And aren't we all just a little relieved about this!
So I just read in the paper that the toilet on the space station is working again. Whew! I mean, it's bad enough when you're stuck in the car or on a bus and you have to hold it. Imagine being stuck on the space station! It's not like you can zip out to the nearest Starbucks or anything. Of all the pieces of equipment to keep in working order, I'd say this is one of the most crucial.

I'm sure it smells slightly better on the space station now.
Ummm...where did they put it in the meantime? And by "it" I mean the urine and feces.
Frankly, I don't want to know where they put it. Personally, I don't see why they just couldn't take it outside during a spacewalk and send it off into space. The chances of causing pollution are pretty slim, I think.
Someone would mistake it for a UFO.
I was thinking that too, why do they need a toilet at all? They have all of space. Of course if aliens first came upon us while someone was relieving themselves into space it might not make a good first impression.
And you'd hope that any waste would vaporize upon reentry. Otherwise... yuck.
Who's to say that the aliens will correctly interpret the reliever's actions? They might think it's a greeting -- or a gift!
I couldn't help but think that the aliens would regard us as monkeys flinging poo...
